Distribution:
Found in Asia, Africa, America and spread across the tropical area. 


Habitat:

Their nests are often found near rocky areas or in tree holes or root systems. They may also dig and live in burrows, from which a network of pathways penetrates into the surrounding habitat.


Diet: 

Roots, tubers, bark, insects and fallen fruits.
