Crested macaques are also known as Celebes crested macaques is a species of Old-World monkey. Male Crested Macaques (Macaca nigra) are generally larger and heavier than females, with more muscular builds and broader shoulders. They exhibit pronounced facial features including larger canine teeth and sometimes more prominent facial hair. Fun fact: Sometimes crested black macaques store extra food in their cheek pouches for later, similar to a hamster.

Distribution:
Sulawesi, Manadotua, and Talise


Habitat:

Tropical rainforests, mangrove forests, and coastal forests.


Diet: 

Fruits, seeds, insects, and occasionally small vertebrates.
